A true story of journalistic excellence

Tom Kranz was an associate producer at WCAU-TV at the time of the MOVE disaster. He was deployed to the scene to coordinate coverage with information gathered by newsroom journalists. Information from confidential sources developed by both reporters on the scene and in the newsroom was critical in telling the story.
He wrote LIVESHOT over four years after the events on Osage Avenue at a time when there was no world wide web, and no digital information sources. His narrative is based on first-person accounts from the participants, his own recollections, air checks of the live coverage and research done at the Philadelphia Free Library. The book has footnoted citations documenting sources of information, quotes and facts.
Today, Tom is a writer and podcaster living in New Jersey.
